SM Engineers Welcomes Mr. Joseph Dattilo as Civil Project Lead
SM Engineers is thrilled to announce the newest addition to our team, Mr. Joseph Dattilo, who joins us as the Civil Project Lead. With over 25 years of exceptional experience in civil engineering, Mr. Dattilo brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team.
In his role as Civil Project Lead, Mr. Dattilo assumes responsibility for the final design, as well as the sign and seal of all projects undertaken by SM Engineers. His extensive background in civil engineering has been instrumental in the successful completion of various private and public development projects, showcasing his dedication to excellence.
Mr. Dattilo's journey in the field of civil engineering began with a solid foundation at the University of Windsor. He earned his Bachelor of Applied Science from the Faculty of Civil Engineering. Joseph's commitment to excellence and his contributions to the field have earned him notable recognitions. Holding professional engineering licenses in both Michigan and Ontario reflects Mr. Dattilo's dedication to meeting the highest standards of expertise and ethical conduct in the engineering profession.
In 2019, the Lieutenant Governor’s Ontario Heritage Award was presented to the Sandwich John Muir Public Library Heritage Project in City of Windsor. This prestigious award recognizes Joseph's work as not only a professional engineer but also as a custodian of the region's cultural legacy. Joseph's accomplishments have also garnered attention on a national level. Being featured in Canadian Architect, a leading publication in the industry, is a testament to his innovative and influential work in the field of civil engineering.
These recognitions underscore Mr. Dattilo's multifaceted contributions, from professional engineering licenses to accolades for heritage preservation and architectural innovation, showcasing a career marked by excellence and dedication.
Mr. Dattilo has recently contributed to a variety of projects, including the New Jackson Park Greenhouse in the City of Windsor, the Gordie Howe International Bridge & Community Benefits where he led efforts in the City of Windsor, the GM Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant in Lansing, Plymouth Town Square in Plymouth Township, Cobo Washington Streetscape Improvement in Detroit, and Campus Martius in Detroit.
